yes very good, the 2 additional batteries i understand.. but in the beginning you were worried about the strain on your alternator.. which would be while the truck is running, at which point, the 2 additional batteries wouldnt do anything for. that was where i was getting confused.. it was as if you were saying the 2 extra batteries would solve you alternator problem. now you're saying you're upgrading your alternator, which, ok, would solve it then.

btw, what rockford fos. amp do you have? what type of box will it be?

right as now nothin..but im gettin the new RF 2000 watt amp...and then a Kicker 150.2 for my components...

it will be a total WALL...i went today to the local shop and got measurements taken..and found out that i can fit 12 12s...but he has thown the idea that 2 15s can be done cuz the bigger the box the less power that u have to run to em..

and thats the biggest deal that i had with wanted 2 15s..is the power but if i can run less on them then i can possible get 2 15s instead of 12 10s or even 12 12s..i just want to go all out and make it loud as a donkey

it can be done, especially building something like you're wanting, but what everyone is trying to say is that it wont happen with only one amp at 2000 watts.

with 10 of those subs, it equals something like a .266 ohm load... that's below a 1 ohm load, which can cause that amp to work way too much and adventually kill itself.. or repeatidly turn itself off.. either way, not too good. try for the 2 15s.. and set the amp conservatively.. your equipment will last longer.. then, down the line, if you have the money, maybe add another amp, and bump up the power.. dont try to do too much with one amp

which sub are you getting from RE? for the price, i was assumming the RE line..

assumming they'll be wired in parallel, it would equal out to ~.266 ohms

exactly.

if you're going to put the money into having a wall built, adding 2 batteries, upgrading the alternator, and putting 12 subs in, why are you so reluctant to buying more than one amp to power the subs?? you're going to have so much potential, but be disapointed by the results

i think hes just confused.. he has all these illusions of grandure and just not the right way or steps to go about it. if you want all this bass why dont you just spend the 792 dollars in subs that your going to spend on 2 really badass 15s or just some real badass 12s in a blow through style box into the cab or something? that would be awesome in itself and insanely loud. and i am not thinking you are going to be doing any spl competitions or anything cause you hadnt mentioned it. and when in the world are you going to have the ear drums to turn it up and keep it up at the volume level needed to make all this bass it sounds like you want?? i dunno man i think you just need to rethink your setup and go for something realistic. but whatever floats your boat man but whatever it is it doesnt sound like water...

At the rockford fosgater HQ they have a wall of punches (over 15 of them) running off one RF amp (the biggest one they have...but still)

how did u get that number? the subs come in a dual 4 ohm configuration which means 10 of them wired in series would be 1.67 not .266

Oh and also spair is actually spare, forgot to mention that earlier.

As for the current convo I do not see it happening and you being happy, so freaking what if can wake your neighbors up from 5 blocks away. You will be unhappy with it within 6 monhs, then what? O BTW how old are you? If a teenager forget the anology above you will be happy because you always think more is better. I used to be that way now I run and Alpine HU 2 sony 10 comp series and a small sony amp 340x340 but it sounds good to me.

Well ,if it is really loud, it will sould like *** inside... and it wouldnt be balenced... if you get 2 12's or 2 15's it will be more balanced and sound good inside the truck, instead of 500 feet away

I'd go more for looks and making it sound good that stuffing lots of subs in there. You put all those subs in there and it sounds like ***, you are going to very pissed at yourself. Quality over quantity is what is gonna help you win more comps. Plus with that many subs you might as well start bolting you windows and changin to plexiglass.

.....the more subs u got does NOT mean it will sound any worse than say 2-3 subs...i donnt where ur logic comes in there...

and, 12 RE10s is nowhere near glass shattering...u need to get up in the 160s before u start worrying about that...

plus, the "teenager" stereotype is made worse by the kids who go through neighborhoods at 2 in the mornin blastin away, and by kids who bump full blast at red lights....dont go pointin fingers just because i want a large system...u assume too much

Im not assuming anything but QUALITY IS BETTER THAN QUANTITY. Wanna talk spls this also applies. There is a stereo shop here with a Ford Focus with 3 12s Memphis audio and soundstream amps and an alpine HU the car is rated at 4000 watts and consitently hitting 159DBS. I will see if I can find the link of the car shortly

what mic is that on?

i still do not see how u figure that the more subs u have the worse it sounds...it makes NO sence....

so what if 3 12s his "159" that has nothing to do with this setup...what ur saying is that 12 10s will sound bad.....how do u figure?

It was done at USAC in New Orleans last year.

In a truck it will sound muffled unless you are sitting 500 yards from it.

In an expedition it might sound okay. You have a ranger the most I'd recommend is 4 10s just my honest opinions and I thought that is what you wanted?
