Opinions

My roommate asked me to design him a semi-good system within a budget of $1000 here is what I came up with the link below.
http://sentra.clayzplace.com/audio/system.html

He is brand new to the world of audio I got all my prices and pictures from cardomain. It is going in a 2005 Nissan Sentra SER SpecV.

Thanks

Ever come in contact with them? I have, thier fast, but im faster...lol

Anyway, those subs, in that box, woah, thats gonna be hitting hard..

Might want to spend the extra cash on some dynomat..

For the trunk, cause it will rattle..Just a suggestion, NICE setup though..

EDIT: also, shop around, im sure there's these items for better prices, save enough to get the dynamat, and still be in budget.

EDIT again... look around for search engines like

Yep. I stayed pretty close to the Sentra's ***, within ten feet the whole race. But he got me.

There is a guy in my section of the plant (Paint System 1) that has a SE-R 2002 model, with a turbo, headers, full race exhaust, forged pistons, etc.

He's deep in the 13's. He got the car for next to nothing, for working at Nissan. As I could on the new Frontiers. Too bad they're FUGLY.

Yes those cars stock are pretty damn bad, he is a sales man for Nissan and got his dirt cheap as well, he is going to be adding all NISMO products soon, he already ordered the cold air intake and short shifter. But my wifes 2003 Toyota Solara already beat him and she is bone stock LOL.

As for the dynomat he already knows he needs it and will go a bit over his budget, those prices do not include tax and install, unless I tackle it.

I say, if you have some knowledge in installs, do it yourself, look up installs over the internet, my first install sucked, the one in my truck now is temp.

The next one will rock...

Only fools buy dynamat. Use peel and seal instead. Get it from your local home depot or lowe's and save a ton of money.

..do you have all of the wiring already?? if not.. that'll put ya over budget!!

imo polk and clarion are not bad at all for a first system.. they'll handle what he has to give them.. i've never liked and will never buy audionbon.. too many bad impressions with them.. and jvc is still ify.. they're getting better tho.

EDIT: and i agree with Dave and Julie.. dynomat is only a name.. i used some floor padding left over from installing a hardwood floor.. it was easier to work with, plus i was able to easily install many layers of it.. for the cost of nothing!! the difference was just as good, if not better than dynomat!!!

Yes we have all the wiring already or he saids he does who knows he is a carsales man, not the brightest in the world either (JMO).

He is a stickler for name brand as far as the dynomat goes I will try and talk him out of it though.

As for a different woofer that is what he wanted so oh well.

Dynamat costs 10 times more than peel and seal.

It's all what the market will bear. Car stereo people will pay big bucks for the material, roofers won't. Same stuff different label.

Buy a thing of peel and seal and one of dynamat and compare the two. That should remove any doubts he has. They are identical as far as I could tell, except for their width.
