Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD vs. Kenwood DDX616

Hi everyone, I'm torn between these two units. I recently purchased the P4200 but there are things I don't like it. I've listed the Pros and Cons below for both. What are your thoughts?

Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD

Pros:
Pretty good interface
Good ipod controls where you can control it via the stereo or the iPod
Accepts SD cards up to 32GB and USB HD's
7" screen

Cons:
Does not play .MP4's
Screen resolution seems a bit fuzzy
Screen resolution is more grey than black
Does not allow high pass filtering on each speaker
Is not completely flush
BT add on isn't very good or so I've heard
Motorized screen doesn't allow a trim ring

Kenwood DDX616

Pros:
Screen looks clear and vibrant
Plays .MP4's
Allows high pass filtering
Has Bluetooth by Parrot
Has a physical volume ****
Is completely flush

Cons?:

Please help me make a decision, there isn't much as far as reviews for the DDX616 out there!

In general & IMHO… Pioneer is a superior unit.

I have used both and the Pioneer Units out perform the Kenwoods.

I disagree, its personal preference. I like the Kenwood navi's better than the Pioneers after owning a Pioneer for 2 years.

kenwood for sure.. esp considering you couldn't even name a con for it lol.. my biggest thing is the fact that u have to plug in any external unit in the front, you can't hid anything u plug into it.. the kenwood you can. and the kenwood interface is much better

I have had both, usually I would buy Pioneer, just like them, but I decided to go for something different. Bought I Kenwood to match my first HAM VHF/UHF Radio and was I surprised the channels would drift, the overall sound was OK but not really good, and it would lose channels on me all the time.
Are those enough reasons… all of my Pioneers have been great, good sound, no problems with tuning, holds channels where other wouldn’t.

In my personal opinion and as a Non-Audiophile, I find the Pioneer has better sounds, especially when hooked up to OEM Speakers, add in Aftermarket Speakers and Wow, the PIoneer comes alive.

Now to stand behind my words, I recently purchased another Pioneer, AVIC Z120BT, DVD/NAV/CD Player. it hasn’t been installed but it is on the list and waiting to make up my mind on speakers/amp/sub but thinking on all PIoneer D-Series.

Good Luck on your choice, find a store with both radios and try them out before buying.

Wow thanks for the responses guys. The reason why I couldn't give many cons for the Kenwood is because I haven't actually been able to play with it. It seems like it's always been in lock down mode at the stores I've been to. I think though I've decided to stick with the Pioneer since I got the unit for around $300 whereas the Kenwood would be another $200 on top. Is it worth $200 for a volume **** etc? Probably not.
