Icon5 Radio amplifier fuse questions

I have an aftermarket source unit and amplifier installed. It's a Clarion 5 channel XC2510 amplifier, and comes with it's own 40 amp fuse on the power wire. I know about having another fuse close to the battery. There is already an A G U fuse installed a few inches away from the positive post.

My question is in regards to fuse 2 in the Battery Junction Box of my 4 liter 2007 Ranger. It never came with the Tremor system, so there was never a 40 ampere fuse there. But fuse 2 would have been for the Tremor Radio Amplifier. I am wondering could I instead set the Clarion amplifier power wire to make a connection at the bottom of the box for where fuse 2 would go; and therein use that for my 'second' fuse inches away from the battery? And then do away with the A G U fuse already installed.
