Rear Speaker Question

I just put in new door speakers and a head unit in my 98 ranger regular cab, but it also has rear speakers that I left as stock. My question is, is it even worth buying new speakers for the rear as the seats more or less are leaning right up against them as it is. The rear speakers sound like crap now compared to the front ones, so I just faded it towards the front more. I'm thinking about buying rear speakers, but just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be throwing my money away by doing so. Thanks.

well worth it, i ran with only fronts for a while and i ended up turning my rears off becasue they sounded so bad loud when my front aftermarket ones were sounding great.. its a worthy investment...

Rear speakers arnt supposed to be equal to the fronts as far as power...clarity yes, but it is unnecessary to trick out the back speakers with fany **** speakers being since when youre at a concert 90% of your sound comes from in front of you....us SQL guys have been doing this for years....do this 2-way speakers in the rear, components in the doors, 1/2 DIN center, quality H/U, and a sub...and i dont mean some SPL style sub. I prefer a 10", but an 8" is adaquit for an SQL system.

Do you think this would be good in my regular cab Ranger?

Rockford Fosgate T1682Cin the rear

Rockford Fosgate T1682S in the front doors

That along with an amp. I'm really kinda lost when it comes to these kinds of things, found a pretty good deal on the T1682S though and just wanted to know if putting those in the front doors and moving the T1682C to the rear(I already own those and got them in the doors) would sound good. Also, if I did get those speakers, what would be a good amp to get?

Btw, I got the Pioneer DEH-5800MP as my HU.

They would be plenty fine. Im not that big of a fan of rockford speakers, but i like my rockford amp.

Ryan- What are you going for with this system? SQL or SPL or just an all around kinda system?

my Rockford HU was junk.....but I know alot of people that swear by Rockford....it's pretty much just what you like and what you've had luck with. I have a set of factory replacement Kickers in my 97 reg. cab...they're amped and sound pretty sweet. Not bad for what they are. I'm sure those RF's will kick just fine. You'll be happy you got the 2 for the back.

I'm not going for some insane quality audio, I just want something that sounds good. I commute to my college which is about an hour and 10 minutes away and to work as well which is an hour away. Up until last week I've had the stock system and I've just gotten sick of it and decided to upgrade as I'm in my car driving at least 8 hours a week right now(and I'm out of school, so when schools back I'll be in it even more). Anyways, I already have the Pioneer HU and the Rockford 1682C speakers. I want to buy some speakers for the doors and move the Rockford's to the rear. I was looking at components but had no idea what really would be good for what I'm looking for. What would you suggest I get with what I already have and what amp would be good as well?
