im putting a system in my truck of my reg. cab xl and this is the box Ford Ranger S36CC but now i need to find shallow subs of ones that would fit any ideas?

 

i have SWS-1043D alpine subs and my sub box is pretty close to that if i remember right and the thing hits pretty hard, you can definatly feel it in your back when the bass hits.

Need some lessons on how to attach links, sorry if it doesn't create a link. The Alpines white94ranger has are a pretty nice setup. You just have to decide what you want to spend. Don't cheap out on the wires, though.

BTW, thanks for the link to your box. Been looking for a box design for my son's truck and your link is kind enough to share the full dimensions. Will be making some sawdust this weekend.

 

Memphis SR subs, ive got a pair of 10s running 500watts, they will hit way harder than youd ever expect from a single cab

 

If I were you, I'd get a pair of Fi X10's. They love small, sealed boxes and hit pretty hard.

Rockford Fosgate P1S410 Punch Stage 1 10" 4-ohm subwoofer at Crutchfield.com thses are the subs i was looking at until you gave me the link to the shallow sub site im looking at the memphis 10s on there right now

 

The mounting depth is 6.5. many non-shallow subs will work too.. you have more options then you may think.

how much power do you have available? and at what ohm impedence?

you can't just pick a sub you like, it has to be sized for the power you have and the volume of airspace that you have in your box.

 

You think a memphis pr 12 would fit in a single cab ranger?

 

im not sure yet exactly ive got the boxed picked out but not a sub nore amp

 

mounting depth may be fine but make sure you find subs with the proper air space requirement as well.poly fill in the box helps a lil bit.im sure someone with more experience will chime in,i didnt even go the premade box route,i have 2 kicker solobaric l7 8's and they are insane.they are in a custom made box that is ported.i have no pics cause camera is broken.
