speaker question

hey guys, i posted in this section a while back because i didnt know anything about stereos and i went out and got a little educated. My question, i was looking on Crutchfield and for speakers, they have speakers that fit the front door and then different ones that fit the back and the ones for the back are a lot more expensive. what is the reason for that? what speakers do you guys like. As of now I have infinity refernces for the front and polk audio 4 the back

you should have 6x8's all the way around. i would go with alpine type-s speakers. they sound clean and have a good bass cone and bring out the highs nice as well. as for why they are more expensive, they should be all 6x8's so they should be the same price per pair.

yeah they are 6X8 all around. i would go with the pioneer TS-A1702C speakers for the front and alpine type S 6X8 or 5X7 for the rear. now before you tell me that a 6.5 will not fit in the doors those speakers come with a 6X8 to 6.5 plate in the box so with that plate it will fit and work great. then all you have to do is find a place to mount the tweeter. the pioneers and alpines are both sold a best buy.

when my memphis 6X8 component speakers blow in my front doors, that is what i am going to replace them with.
