I recently bought these Pioneer speakers http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Pioneer+...&skuId=1733141
I installed them and they worked fine for a few days. Then one of the rear speakers started buzzing when i turn the truck on or off and it says "failure" on my Sony Xplod CD player. I returned that set and installed the new ones, same thing happened a few days later. I have gone through and checked all the wiring and used connectors instead of just tape. Every time i re-install they work for a few days and go out.
Very confused. Any help?

have you tried running new wires straight from the deck? it sounds like you have a bad ground somewhere due to a broken wire. Ive also seen exposed wires (plastic sheathing worn thru) grounding out. eliminate that first.

Buy a small amp… run new HD speaker wire from the amp, eliminating all of the OEM Wiring.
Use the speakers you now have (if they are OK) and replace them later if needed.
In fact SonicElectronics has an amp sale.
One post on this site suggested to run component front speakers and a Sub but no rear speakers… something to think about.
