speakers speakers speakers

i dont understand what size speakers fit in the front doors of my 2000 ranger supercab 2 door ?? the chart on this site says 6x8 but other places say 5 1/4 and 5x7 so witch one is it ???

6 x 8 and 5 x 7 will fit :o)

My dads o1 ext cab f150 had 5x7's...If that helps at all

6x8 is the size Ford designed to fit the truck. 5x7 will work because they make them with brackets that will also fit the 6X8 holes. The problem is that some 5X7's don't fill the hole properly, and may leave gaps or rattle. You also lose surface area, since 5X7 is naturally a smaller speaker so they will have issues with bass.
