Stolen Pioneer.

I just recently got my Pioneer CD deck stolen. The one time I don't take the fact plate off. Anyway... I'm searching for a new one, and i really don't have that much to spend on it. $150 at the most

I like the different EQ settings that my Pioneer offered and the "loudness" button. I'm looking at an Alpine, Kenwood and another Pioneer and I'm just wondering if they have around the same features. I like the fact that I could have a different sound (vocal, natural, powerful, custom, etc) for my different types of music, do most CD decks come like this? If not, which ones do?

Any input or knowledge is greatly appreciated, as I have almost no idea about audio. I just know i was in love with my old pioneer, but i'd like to change it up a bit.

Take some time and run over to a stereo Installer and look around, the people there generally know what they are talking about. Sorry to hear about your stereo being stolen, that's why I always take off the faceplate

Seriously start doing it. It's a heartbreaker seeing your window shattered, plus i have to get that plastic piece that surrounds the stereo because they ripped it almost clear off.

I'm really liking the Alpines by the way.

What I always do is cruise around to Circuit City, Best buy, Frys Electronics and some other places and try out all the different head units that they have until I find one that I like, than I just load it up on ebay and purchase it there nice and cheap, hahaha. I honestly like to stick with my Pioneer Premiers and Kenwoods. I got my sister a Premier 470 for 150 shipped, and she loves it and has no problems with it at all. MP3, WMA, sub outputs, loudness, MOSFET, CD Text, its got all the stuff. Yeah, and the reason I got her that head unit was becuase her window was shattered with a spark plug and stolen a long with some other stuff she had in it. N oalarm?

No alarm. I have been meaning to tint out my door windows, I just haven't had the money or time to do it myself lately. But it's been pushed up my list of things to do for my truck. I also don't really turn my music up, and if i do it's usually music that doesn't make a big sound.

I'm in love with the Alpine CDE-9842 at Crutchfield.com They have some AWESOME deals going on right now, and I could have that shipped with all the installation gear for 129. I'm so excited!

Sorry bout the situation, insurance doesn't cover that?

I've had an Alpine before, wasn't a bad headunit.

Yeah almost all decks now a days come with "loud" and custom settings for EQ-z. Its just up to you if you want MP3/WMA or also if you want a deck that is IPOD ready or not. (Also sirus satalite etc.) Also if you want sub out... etc lol

So yeah it was already said but just go looking for the one you want. Then Ebay it!

i have all my stuff in my truck under my insurance.. (first think i asked when did the paper work) as for the head unit if ya like pioneer stay with them.. like everyone else said go and check out the local stores and see what they have to play with.. then check ebay.

crutchfield does have good deals but check other places for prices on the same unit (crutchfield is alittle high sometimes)

not sure this will help you but i have a pioneer premeir deh p80mp that i messed up. the face plate is still fine on it tho. i could sell it to you and you could say send it in to get it fixed. was a badass cd player before i screwed it up. it just makes a lot of alternator whine, like really loud. sure it would be no prob to fix but my friend sold me a new alpine deck for only 100 bucks.
heres a pic of what it looks like, but not the actual one, my camera is messed up. http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/pro...HP80M-o-1.jpeg

Look around

Im not to into audio anymore but it seems like i always found the best deals to be Pioneer, I just bought a display model used by walmart and got a few bucks off. It was originally 80, so i was surprised at the features usually not found on cheaper models. It has all the Loud and EQ settings+2 custom. I think its also got the frequency adjuster or somethin like that. Talk to walmart and see if they have any display models for sale or near future sale

DEH-16 is what I bought
