Sub box

With great thanks to FoMoCoEdge for linking the pics for me.

Here is the new box and subs in the ranger, its a Bassworxs box with a silent airflow system, you CANT hear distortion , Awsome box. its ported on the sides of the box and is sealed between the 2 sub chambers,it fits perfect in the back sitting with the subs facing up, i tried with them facing bacwards but almost lost the back window from too much concusion, now with them pointing them up the back window doesnt sound like its going to blow out. So i tested it out good enough to make the cops show up and give me a warning saying that if they heard it that loud again its a 150$ fine no questions asked. so if you have anyquestion or comments there very welcome!!

Like i said. Very nice setup you have there. Check that headliner, dont want it falling on you from the bass while your driving.

Hahaha yea, well it puts out enough bass that its about 3 blocks away u can hear it,

there 2 PG subs, 300 RMS and a 1000watt 1 channel clarion
The subs are dual voice coil and its bridged to the amp so its puttin out really more power then the subs can handle, if the amp overloads the subs it has a saftey cut off and they come back after about 10seconds, allow for cooling i guess. its nice.. good for competitions

nice set up. i built a very similar looking box for my friend that had ports in the center that came out right next to the divider. his hit extremely hard. 2 audiobahns (cant remember specks) off of a mono 800 watt amp. it competed with a friend's two jl 12w3 in a jl wedge box off of a jl amp i cant remember the wattage of.

wut stops the distortion?

If it wasnt such a pain to take the box out and take pics i would, the ports are the full length of the box on eaither side, when you look into the box on one side theres another MDF board that goes from that port to about 8 inches away from the center divider, the way the box is set up and the air has to travel around teh whole back of the box on either side it gets no distortion unless you crank the subs beyond there power and ofcourse it sounds like crap, but this box is unreal i love it for 2 10" subs it puts out alot, im thinken of gettin a DB reading so if its under the legal limit the cops cant do anything about it and its such low bass it jsut echos everywhere.

haha its a 6Ft tiedown. we still wanna use the seats one day or we'd just bolt the box to the truck so it was non removable. only thing that i could find that would make it stay there when the gf drives..short legs seats farther up and the box wants to slide. with me the seats all teh way back and the box doesnt move whatsoever

Mine became a projectile. But it stayed behind me because of the way i sat.

Christina (YellowTremor02) didnt have her whole radio bezel screwed in, and i believe it hit her in the head.

there top of the line PG, last years stock but there 300rms and i cant remember what the peak is, theres a 1000watt clarion 2channel bridged to them and they sound AWSOME, hit as hard as my kicker comp VR do in the blazer. It hits harder then i thought, havent wrecked anything yet and if we do there under warranty so oh well..as for them facing upwards, i thought it was a bad idea at first but there no distortion coming from them unless you have it cranked to no tomorrow and that just basic knowledge and they hit really hard, tonnes of travel if only you all could see them running, puts guys with 2 12" or 15"s to shame..its unreal!!
