when i bought my CB i opted for the weather instead of the PA. it got me a better CB but now i want PA somethin fierce.

ive done a bit of experimenting and got a bit of noise to come through my speaker but now sometimes i can hear myself talk through the CB speaker, kinda strange. the PA isnt hooked up as i did no final testing or such.

so, to get to the point, does anybody know how to wire a PA to a CB that doesnt have the PA port? I do have the external speaker port (as im sure pretty much all CBs do) if that helps.

 

external speaker port is for sound that you receive
I doubt very much that you can modify that unit to give it pubilc address functionality
better to sell it and start over
weather reports come out of your stock radio - just turn to a news station

 

You can buy a linear(s/p?).

neil, your suggestion isnt an option. i enjoy having the best CB out of my friends and i get the best reception. i know theres a way to do it. i guess ill have to take a gander at my brothers cb if hes ever home.

 

No, there is not a way to do it. The CB does not have public address circuits. There are no provisions for making that happen. I can't imagine what you are actually doing to it, but I can assure you it isn't making it a PA and is more likely going to blow it up. The only way is to get a godo CB with a PA already on it.

I also have to wonder what on earth a linear has to do with a PA??
