Yeah all my wires are going to be very short, with the exception of the power cable and the speaker wires. I'll put up some pictures tomorrow of the amp rack when I'm finished with it tomorrow.

That box looks familiar. Its the same style that I used to sell in my shop. it was originally designed to fit between the jump seats. If I can dig up the pics of some of the installs, I'll post them later.

I mounted mine beside the battery as well, right next to the breaker for my Alternator.

Ok, I guess I got a little more creative.....or made life more difficult...lol either way, I had some aluminum strips I got from Lowe's lying around and fashioned a bracket out of them and connected it to the bolt that holds on the fuse box. Aluminum is your friend. You can make just about anything with it. Custom brackets are usually pretty easy. This isn't the best picture in the world but it'll give you an idea. I also covered my power wire and RCA's with looming. So far so good!

That's exactly how my e-fan fuse was mounted. When it overheated, it burnt a hole into the side of the battery. Damn chain reactions.

I mounted my fuse right next to the amp which is located behind my driver side seat. Is it true the fuse should be within 18 inches of the battery? IF so, i need to change the location. Also what damage am i rusking by placing the amp next to the amp rather than the car battery?

The reason for having a fuse on your power wire is to protect the vehicle not the amp if any of the wire between the fuse and the battery were to ground out it will quickly catch on fire. IF the wire between the fuse and the amp were to ground out it would just blow the fuse. So as your truck sits right now its a fire hazard
