They have the same channels now right? So no benefit to either one

Good question, I lost some channels on my Sirius, but gained some crappy XM channels, so I imagine they have the same channels, but that just leads me to wonder why they are still two separate companies still . . .

If you have Sirius and want some XM channels it costs extra! the other way around too!

It should just be combined without additional charges!!!

The chapter 11 thing is over, I hear someone came and bought up the debt.

They had to stay as two seperate companies to get approval from the govt.

Its cool. I'll probably go with mostly music, thats all I'll really listen to. I have some coupon codes for 77 a year deals and stuff I'm going to try. I have a lead on a 3 year free that I'm going to try as well, don't know how successful that one will be though. I'm trying to win the xm unit on ebay right now lol

If you have to choose, go with XM and the best of Sirius package. I have a Sirius radio and the best of XM package that i can get does not include the baseball channels. But if you have XM and get the best of Sirius package, you can get both NFL and all MLB games for the 16.95 a month.

Sirius and XM are one company now and they did not file for chapter 11 yet. That may still happen as they have a lot more debt coming due in the next year that they have no way to pay for.

For what it's worth

If you can find a deal that gives you 3 months free. You can sign up then when it comes to you having to pay. They call and get you to sign up. You say your not interested due to how much it cost. They then offer it for a lot lower rate.

We pay 9.99 a month for our car and 6.99 for the truck
