Car wash shampoo & conditioner recommendations

Maybe this has been asked before in general terms, but I could not find the perfect answer. I am looking for the best car wash shampoo & conditioner for my Ranger.. Does anyone have any recommendations? Well, I searched around for awhile and found thousands of brands are available, but choosing the best one is really a daunting task. Wondering what’s the best car wash shampoo & conditioner that I can pick up from local store? Any recommendation that easily available at Walmart will be greatly appreciated, because I just got their discount coupons from Dealrocker.com. Looking forward to hear from your end.

Thanks..

Are you going to be detailing your truck or just washing it? If your just washing it most concentrated shampoo's would work.

I doubt they'd sell this at Walmart but I'd recommend P21S with a foam gun.

If just washing and you want a shine too use Dupont #7 Car Wash.

For the money you can’t get a better wash/shine.

I'd go with Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax. It is a new product for 2010.

Whats the difference between that and the Gold Class wash? I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Ultimate products but haven't had a chance to actually use them yet.

That helps shine your finish in between waxing right? So wouldnt it not be good when prepping for wax?

Gold Class shampoo doesn't contain any wax so that's the main difference. Other than that, I have found it to give better beading/sheeting and more lubricity than Gold Class. It also prolongs the life of your wax as it adds a little extra protection.

Yes, and yes and no. It depends on what kind of prep you are doing. And, if you plan to wax anyway than there is not really any benefit to using UW&W.

Ive always used Gold Class but have recently been using a rinse less wash. I was able to wash my truck in the winter with it.

Are you using a winter sealant? If you do you won't have to wash it as much compared to if you didn't use a sealant.
