paint blending

Now before you tell me to search i already have....
For some odd reason the people who owned this truck before me got an ugly A$$ vinal (sp??) strip that runs the length of the truck. Well since ive been on this site, you guys ahve given me the confidence that i can take it off pretty easily. But that is not my question. The paint under the vinal(sp??) strip will more than likely be darker that the other paint. So to avoid having a darker black strip on my truck, what can I use to blend this in with the reast of the paint??
Thanks guys

As long as the truck hasn't been painted, a good buff job should do it. (wet sand the area with 1500-2000 grit and buff) If its been painted you will probably have to paint (blend) the area where the stripe was.

When you say "buff" do you mean with an orbital buffer? or just with a really soft cloth and wax??

if its bad.. orbital buffer...

Fine Cut http://www.meguiars.com/estore/produ...duct_M0216.jpg

then

mechine glaze http://www.meguiars.com/estore/produ...duct_M0316.jpg

then like

Deep crystal http://www.meguiars.com/estore/produ...duct_A2116.jpg

finishing up with some

NXT wax http://www.meguiars.com/estore/produ...uct_G12718.jpg

if its light and not bad just start with deep crystal....
