yes, another "waterspots" thread

i have looked at a lot of threads about this topic to find a solution.

i have seen many methods, but can someone tell me which one really works well, i have heavy water spots on all windows and my tint is showing them all ruining the look of my limo tint...so please someone give me some advice on what to do

EdGe_wannabe said that rust stain works great and u can get it from wal mart, but i cant find it there, what section would it be in?

well i think what happened with rainex, is it just covered them up, if im not mistaking, rainex act as lubricant on the windows to resist water and let wipers slide better, so i think it just filled in the water spots and you cants see them with the naked eye

If it is on just your windows and the outside.. Some glass cleaner.. and steel wool.. Thats what we use at our dealership.. Works fine for us and the customers..

SOS might not work because of the soap.. its not really metal to glass.. Just go to your local hardware store.. get a little peice of steel wool.. and BAM! your done in 30 min or so.. for all windows..

Water spots are easily removed with a little vinegar and a rag. I use vinegar all the time to remove heavy water deposits on household plumbing fixtures.

You don't really have to use steel wool, vinegar, or any of that stuff..Just use Windex or whatever, then wipe it with a dry towel, then go over it with a microfiber, They'll be spotless, I guarantee it.

Ive used comet, It will not hurt the glass and when its done the comet leaves a film that helps the water sheet off the glass. Another approach is just paste wax and hard rubbing. One of the two is a sure fire cure, I had the problem on my focus, After using the comet i have never seen them come back. Just be sure to rinse your car off very well as it will scratch the paint.

i am a detailer, and we use glass cleaner and steel wool, if that doesn't get it off then you may have to acid wash it. which unless you know how to do it and have the tools, i would advise you to go to a detail shop

Brake cleaner sprayed on a towel or very fine (0000) steel wool, or rubbing compound on a towel or steel wool. Followed with glass cleaner sprayed on a towel and buff.
