Remove Hood insulation

Remove Hood insulation

Has anybody removed black hood isulation to improve appearance?
Did it look better?
Doe engine noise sound different?

Mine got taken off when I got the hood re-painted. I think it looks much better.

id be worried about all that heat being bad for the paint. people get their panties in bunches when you talk about removing stickers with a hair dryer so i cant see this being any better

I had to remove mine because it was ruined from off-roading. It started hanging down and was actually getting burnt... hah

But since I removed it I havent noticed any differences

I've been tempted to remove it too.. it couldnt be too bad because i see little turbo'd hondas running around extremely hot and their paint stays fine..

Some cars don't even have it. It shouldn't be a problem unless you sit with it idling for an hour when it's 100 out.

I took mine out becasue I had a mouse in there messing it all up and scaring me every time I opened the hood, lol.
