Removing Edge decal

I really don't like how the Edge decal looks on the bed

I have a black 2002 edge fleetside and the decal is an ugly almost red/pink color and just looks stupid

has anyone else removed this, and is it a hassle? i think i can just peel it off with a finger nail, but i really don't wanna hurt my paint or have any left overs... i might replace the letters with the same in black

You need to heat (hair dryer) it up to get that glue under it hot and then use your finger nails.....

Yep, blow dryer works like a charm. I replaced my orange EDGE with Metallic Silver which I got from jusnesmodified.com

only problem with removing them is if your truck is in the sun alot the paint fades but not under the sticker...

Removed mine with a heat gun (hair dryer on steroids), polished the area with a little McGuires scratch remover. Can't tell it was ever there.

Yeah, that's how I did mine... I used a hair dryer til it was about as hot as I could stand it (I have "dishwasher's hands" so pretty darn hot) and started it with an old gift card, then peeled it slowly and picked the rest off with my fingernail.

Then, when I finished, I put a little Goo-Be-Gone (or Goof-Off) on a rag and wiped the glue residue off and then coated it with 2-3 coats of wax.

I actually removed the Edge symbols with my fingernails, then waxed it afterwards. You could see the outline from where it was for a few weeks but after a while it dissapeared.

Hair dryer or Heat gun works well. Replaced my ugly orange decal with a black one. Way better look especially on red. Check my profile pic to see the result.

What was Ford thinking when they put the ugly EDGE decals on the trucks. They could at least made them a color that accented the trucks.

i wonder how much extra they charge just for the stickers...i bet they ripped us off

anyways, i peeled mine off with my fingers...no blowdryer...but if you still see an outline from the glue residue...just get a towel and some soapy water

I used a razorblade parallel to the body and some lacquer thinner to clean the rest of it off. It worked fine.
