toreador red vs. redfire metallic...Close match, or no?
I bought a 2010 Ranger without checking for rust on the lower doorseams, dammit! The bottoms of each are mostly gone. (no rust thru' on the exterior) So,if I find a pair of older rust free doors in the toreador red, would it be a pretty close match? thanks, Don

redfire metallic is 2006 - 2011
toreador red is 1998 - 2005
Not sure if the colors are close or not, BUT in 2006 and newer the mirrors attach differently, so your best bet is to find 2006 and newer doors.
Red is also one of those colors that fade a lot, so even if you find a 2010 in redfire metallic, there's a good chance it won't match.

This 2010 is a 2.3 manual tranny, with 196K miles, so probably won't even bother. If the motor blows, I won't have it fixed, so kinda' dumb to worry about doors. I did pull the rusty rear bumper off today. Have a cheap $90 Ebay bumper coming. Old one was so bad, it wasn't even safe to stand on...... pure rust!! I'll pull the door panels and spray the doors with CRC rust inhibitor or wipe down with ATF fluid, and let it go at that. I've had four or five -4 cyl rangers, bought new, over the years, and NEVER had one rust like this one is. Ford should be ashamed! I thought it would be great when Ford started building them again, but no single cabs, no manuals, and $30+k. My first Ranger was $5995, brand new....yes, I'm old! lol
