What are the differences between all the Duratec 2.3s? Besides the IMRC in the earlier Dtecs, what are the differences between the earlier Dtecs vs the later ones?

The reason I ask is because I'm shopping for tuners, and the Diablosport has no results for 2002 - 2006 Dtec 2.3s, but it shows results for 2007 and up. Were the engines different somehow?

 

The internals never changed,

04 had an ECM change
05 had another change

 

Rangers got new computer chassis model in 2007, but same EEC-V "model", just had 3 smaller connectors instead of the one larger connector
Pin assignments all changed

Should be running different software just like every year did, but might be different enough to require different programmers

2001 thru 2003 2.3l had the heated thermostat and IMRC, but both were dropped for 2004 and up Rangers
