2002 a/c elimination on 2.3L

I never use my a/c and I have seen that gates has a crep belt for the 2.3L w/o a/c. WILL THIS WORK??? I'm tired of the compressor trine to dog the engine down every time I think about using it. I know that I can do maintenance to the a/c to make it run better but I'm planing for a turbo and I need the room. Any help is appreciated.

Had a 95 ranger 2.3 with air .Bought a belt for the engine with out air and then removed A/C compressor.I would think 2002 should be the same.I would get the belt and try it,if it does not work take belt back.

True. I'm in the proses of doing my coolant bypass hose and if you've never done one is one of fords great gifts to a mechanic. I have determined I hafto take the exhaust off to pull the hard line out threw the wheel well. But to do that I hafto remove the right side accessory bracket. I'm tempted to do some fabrication when re installing to make things easer and leave the a/c compressor off.
