2003 2.3L Valve Cover Removal

I'm new here, so first let me say "Hello" to all and thanks in advance for any help. I'm getting oil on top of my #2 & 3 cylinder spark plugs (I think the inside gasket around the plugs must be leaking), so I purchased the valve cover gasket set to replace. My question is when removing the valve cover, do I have to remove the whole intake assembly, or is there a way to disconnect just the upper part of it so I can get to the valve cover bolts and remove/replace?

In other words, what's the easiest way to do this from someone who has the experience? TIA

2003 2.3. That would be the DOHC DuraTec. It runs a 1 piece plastic intake, and has to be removed as a piece. It's not that hard to do though, just be sure to mark all the lines to make it easier to put back together.

Thanks for the replies. I went ahead and changed my plugs and wires(don't think they had ever been changed before - 115K???) and have taken it for several test drives - no oil in the ports - wires good and dry. I don't know if it was missing so bad (a couple of the plugs' tips were really worn down) it was throwing oil up in there or not, but I'm just going to keep an eye on it for the time being. Valve cover is not leaking at all so if I don't see oil, and it's not leaking oil, I'm opting to observe. Maybe I've dodged this bullet - I hope.

If you know anything about where the pcv valve is on this 2003 2.3
dohc, please see my other post - I've looked everywhere - no pcv that I can find.
