i have a 03 3.0 ranger edge. with 58000 miles and the dealer tells me today that there is a misfire on # 6 cylinder. they ran all the tests, so thy say. and it will cost around 2000. dollars to fix.. what a load of $***. has anyone else had this problem...

here is what the truck did... while i was driving it on the freeway it started to stumble a little bit. so i tuned it up and it was fine. two day later , after coasting down a hill i got back on the gas and it would miss. some where between 2000 rpm and 3200 rpm. but when i pressed the gas down it cleared up. now its getting worse by the day so i took it in.. please help me.....
