Crack in block?

I have Crack in the block and it is on the inside but not on the outside. Can this be grinded smoothed and put so JB Weld on it? Zoom in to see it better.

Hard to say, but you need to drill the ends of the cracks to stop it from continuing to crack
Cracks get bigger from repeated heating and cooling, the metal expands and contracts
Any kind of filler won't change that, drilling ends stops it from "spreading" and then filler or welding to strengthen it

Look down lower in the picture, just to the right of upper crack, looks like another one, or just a bulge

So there is not a water jacket on the other side?

And is it aluminum?

Yes I see the lower one also, I will be removing the crank so I can get a carbide grinder in there and grind the crack away and from there I will be able to decide if it needs to be welded or just filled. The area with the problem is right behind the motor mounts on the side of the engine so it is just right there in the crankcase, not water jacket.. Here is a picture of the outside of the engine where the damage is, it the where something hit the block to the left of the damaged motor mount bolt hole, which has be fixed already.

Loads of info on repairing cast aluminum blocks/parts

Not sure JB weld would be the best choice for long term use, but they do have a product for aluminum repair

Here is a pic of the Crack ground down I will be welding it tomorrow to fill it in for strength.

Here is a better picture of the spider Crack that had to be fixed. The only way to get to it was to remove the crank.

Here is the area after welding it up and grinding it down. All fixed.
