Powerband for a Duratec 4 cylinder

I have a 2002 Ranger 5 speed with the Duratec 4 cylinder. I was wondering if anyone kew the peek rpm to shift gears for the best powerband?

research your engines HP and Torque specs, and shift at max torque rpm +/- 500 rpm.

Horsepower is a "reference", torque is pulling power and what you feel in seat of pants. IIRC 5250 is where torque and hp curves intersect but is that max for this particular engine?

Peak hp is 143 @5250 rpm, peak torque is 154 lb @ 3750 RPM. Not sure about where they intersect

Like someone already mentioned, try shifting at about the peak torque RPM.

Is that dyno chart from a Duratec engine, or a Lima?

Looks more like a Lima to my tired ol' eyes...
