I swapped cables on the coil packs just to see if it was the cable, spark plug or my tester that was no good. I swapped #1/#4 and #2/#3 on the coil packs. Then, I started the engine and now I had sparks on #1/#2, but no sparks on #3/#4. One thing though, when I unplugged the cable (lets say #3 or #4) on the coil pack, I could see spark.

 

I have a 2004 ranger 3.0 this issue started about a week ago it has 144k miles. The CEL came on it runs good until I come to a stop starts to shake CEL starts to flash and car won’t accelerate when I press the accelerated for about 20 seconds then it goes. I have replaced air filter, coil pack, spark plugs, and fuel filter. When I replaced the fuel filter it seemed to help a lot. Definitely smoother idle l. But is still not wanting to accelerate when I am at a stop. Any help would be appreciated.
