Spark plug wire boots on 2010 2.3

After 60K miles its time for the first spark plug change on my 2010 and discovered that it has the darnedest new spark plug wire boots tucked way down deep beneath the distributor and hoses and whatnot. I think these wires only came on the final years of the Duratec 2.3. At any rate, its hard get a good grip on them. Anyone have any tips on how they did theirs? I know I should just invest in some decent spark plug wire pullers but I'll probably just end up removing stuff until I can get my hands in there better.

Wow, after 60K with the same set of plugs these plug wires are really stuck on. I don't want to be too rough and damage one and leave myself stranded, so my solution is going to be order a new set and install them with some dialectical grease to make the job easier next time. Then I can just remove the old wires with pliers! It can't hurt to replace the plug wires anyway.

Definitely on the dielectric grease and new wires is never a bad idea id also run some anti seize on the plug threads.
