turbo for a 2004 duratch ranger??

Is there anyone who has turboed the duratech rangers yet? I am curious to see if there is a kit or anyone custom done this...not wanting a 300hp beast just something for more power and get up and go. Thanks

I would try looking for a turbo kit for a ford focus. They have a Duratec EW 2.3 while yours is a Duratec NS 2.3. I think the difference is that the ranger one is setup for more torque (at least earlier in the rpm range). You would have to do some modifying to a kit to get it to work with the Ranger though. But I think the exhaust manifold should bolt right up. You may have to do some relocating of parts under the hood to get it to fit.

Take the silencer out of the front of the airbox...takes about 10 mins. Just unhook the lid, pull the filter out then pull out the black plastic housing the filter sat in and on the front you will see a snokle looking thing...just pop it out and it opens up the front of the airbox to allow more air...it makes a little bit of a difference really...i noticed it.
