04 Ranger 5.0 4R70W Issues

I have just wired in the Dakota Digital SGI-100BT and I believe I've got a speed signal because the speedo is working in the truck. I've got it adjusted pretty close to right with the gps on my phone but the trans wont shift. I can make it shift by going from drive into second but other than that it wont on its own. the torque converter wont stay locked either and just idles back down if I let of the throttle. the overdrive light also isn't blinking and I know that it does work. so I'm hoping that there is someone here that has had similar issues or has any suggestions for a reason why its not shifting.

And you hooked up speed signal OUT from SGI-100BT to computers pin 58, grey/black wire?

You can check codes, P0500 means computer has no speed signal

Can your OBD readed see P0700 codes?
Transmission codes, not all can

If so pull fuse 13 in engine bay, explorer fuse box number, it powers the transmission solenoids, or fuse 41 in 2004 Ranger engine fuse box

You should get a bunch of P0700 codes just need to turn key on

CEL(check engine light) should have come on as well?
But after startup, which is fine to do with solenoid fuse unplugged

The cel is on but thats for another couple of codes not trans stuff. There still are probably other codes that i just cant see and i did cycle the ignition a few times with the fuse out.

What is the model of the scanner?
You should be able to look it up and see if it will read Ford transmission codes

That model does say it CAN read transmission code
"Transmission Diagnostics
Some common error codes are from the transmission. Whether it is an overheating problem, low transmission fluid, or transmission control malfunction, the Zurich ZR8 provides direct access to transmission codes, thus making it easier to reach a diagnosis. "

So not sure what up with that?????
At a loss

Finally got an update. I took the truck to a ford house and had them hook it up and the reason the transmission isnt shifting or doing anything is because there is no tcm. They said that the module just isnt there. There wasn't even a spot for it on their list so i think im gonna grab another ecu and try that.
