05 shift kit

05 shift kit

im looking to get a shift kit for my 05 ranger what would u recomend and such also what type of tranny does the 05 have because im thinking about getting a gate shifter but i dunno i wanna do some research but i need to know the model number lol! thanks in advance

well the hurst shifter is awesome (just ask wowak) but im not sure if it will work on a 05 yet

Nope, gate shifter = auto

Look into an Art Carr, they make a very nice Gate Shifter. It will still work like a normal auto though unless you also convert to a manual valve body.

If you have a 4.0 then you have the 5R55E if you have the 3.0 its the 4R44E (I belive)

frist off i was looking at the art carr shifters i like those and i totally forgot about going manual valve! lol how much would that cost?

Couldn't tell ya.. call a transmition shop, they would know.

how would you make that fit on your steering collum?
lol it doesnt go there it basicly turns ur tanny into a floor shifter its used in prerunners desert racers and some drag cars if u notice that the console its basicy built for an arm rest to shift and such? or see how all of them are on the console?
