1992 Differential Oil: Hypoid

RE: 1992 Ranger 3.0 V6 5 speed. mazda trans I believe
Not sure of my ratio.

Hi gang,
Trying not to ask the silly questions but cant find this one out. I have the truck listed above 3/4 of the way to mint. I even have the original owners manual. The only thing the manual lists is "hypoid oil" for the differential. It lists no other types or weights. Is there a certain weight I need to get and/or add some additives to it? Have 123,000 miles.

All your help and ideas are appreciated.
Thanks,
Jake

:I will get pics as soon as I figure out how to lower the Mega Pics on my camera.

Seems odd to not list a weight. I think theres only 2 types of gear oil: spiral bevel and hypoid. Long story short, its where the pinion comes into contact w/ the ring gear. Why that requires a different type of oil is beyond me.

I thought HYPOID is the slant of the gears.
