manual trans truck; step side short box. i bought a doorman #697-702 from advanced auto parts and it's too small; upon research this part number and all other part numbers im finding elsewhere are for 8.8 rear ends. this cover is too big for my differential, the current rusty leaky cover on mine is smaller. anybody know what's going on here or if they had smaller than 8.8's in my model year?

you have a 7.5 rear, not 8.8

 

alright good to know!!! im assuming diff. covers are readily available for the 7.5's? my local auto parts stores aren't showing them online..(for my model year)
