Ok so I just recently purchased a ranger 1998 2.5 Auto 110xxx miles supposedly but truck is pretty minty so maybe lol. The transmission when I put it in drive it goes forward but it seems to be in 2 or third gear it drives to about 50 mph with no shifts whatsoever I do have reverse but kinda clunks when I shift to it when it’s cold it shifts to reverse much softer after warmup . I also have 1 and 2 when I manually put them in 1 and 2 . But when i put it in drive it feels like it’s a high gear and stays In that one gear .
