We put an 2004 engine in a 2002 ford ranger 4x4 with automatic transmission. engine runs fine when in park and neutral but struggles when you put it in gear. loses power and feels as if there is nothing there and cuts out when you push on the gas. it is showing shift and torque converter codes. i'm going to post pics of the codes below. i'm wondering if the 02 transmission and 04 engine are not compatible. although everything plugged into the transmission properly. any ideas??
