4R44E won't move in Overdrive

Weird. 1998 Ranger goes when in any gear unless I turn the OD switch on. Then it is like putting the truck in neutral. Reverse seems to work. No codes or CEL flashing. Fluid level is good.
I adjusted the bands but that didn't fix it. Thinking it might be a servo. Anybody have any insights into this maybe? I am trying to figure out if it might be a servo, the valve body or the tranny guts so I can know where to start digging. Any help is appreciated.

I changed one of the servos but that didn't help. I tried adjusting the bands and that didn't help. My wife was driving it when it broke so I don't know what happened except that she heard a big bang sound.
I think one of the internal bands broke or something.

I found a tranny out of a wrecked Ranger for $400 and put it in. I have the broken tranny still and will open it up one day to see what broke inside.

when you drive the vehicle up hills , you must remember to turn overdrive OFF

if you do not , you will burn out the internal clutch pack
