4wd problems

when i put my truck in 4 wheel hi or low its starts popping. all 4 tires turn and it pops only when taking off. once you take off its fine unless you stop and take off again or gas it real hard. the hubs are fairly new and both have less than 50,000 miles on them. could a cv axle be causing it?

its actually the chain-drive system in the transfer case slipping off the teeth.. time for a rebuild.

it'll work still, but the sound will get progressively worse over time and more use.. eventually it will just go out.

Sounds like maybe you should have a buddy listen outside the truck to listen.

its not coming from the transfer case its coming from the front end. i can feel it and hear it coming from there.
