2000 4.0 4x4,,went to use 4x4 last week and had none,bought locking hubs and had a idiot froend helping me,while i was prying the tabs to get my side off the moron just hit his side with hammer....the gears are stick in the hub and i can't seem to get them out....anybody have any ideas ??i was hoping ti pull wheel bearing but cannot get to circlip beacause its behind the gears from the old hub...any help much appreciated,,i am minutes away from using this as target practice thanks

The gear should just pull out, nothing but friction holding it in
Try turning front driveshaft back and forth to turn the axle shaft on that side it might release some of the pressure

 

i drilled holes in the gears and welded bolt to the holes still will not budge....i'm wondering if the cv's on the half shaft will fit through the wheel bearing hole,,,,if so i'll just pull shaft and bearin/hub out as one and replece both ,,do you know it the cv's will fit through wheel bearng hole ????

took a look at it and just cut the outside inch of the hub off and got the gear off,,,it was siezed to the teeth on the hub,,,now i only need to replace wheel bearing,,problem is the circlip and spirallock are ruined and i cant find replacements....any idea about size ,or somewhere to find these ???....I've looked but just can't locate
