Ok... i got my 94 xlt 4x4 4.0 5 speed and the front u joints were bad so i replaced them and now the 4x4 dont work...

I dont know if it worked before i changed them though so and opinions...

Also when i got it the 4x4 light was on for a week or so and never came back on...

The buttons dont do anything and theres a red light behind the back seat on the module...

 

bad shift motor?

did it work before you changed the joints?

 

no the guy i got it from said it quit about 2 months ago.

The 4x4 light was on but now its off and nothing that has anything to do with 4x4 dont work

 

well my thoughts are maybe the shift motor went out, and maybe the 4x4 light was an indicator? I'm not sure. thats my .02 since I don't have a 4wd lol.

 

thats what i was thinking i need a test light to see if im getting power there
