4x4 issues.

I got up this morning to go to work and my 6cylinder 2003 ford ranger edge was in 4wd low, never had this issue before. I had not used four wheel drive in some time when I did it worked fine. I tried everything but couldn't turn it of. What is wrong and how do I fix it.

Did you try switching it to 2WD then driving forward and backward?

Could have a frozen motor. Do you have a rubber mallet to hit the back of the motor? That may free it up

Since we are talking about 4wd low:

Are you making sure you're in neutral, 100% stopped, and your foot on the brake, when you try it?
