PLEASE HELP. We have a 2002 4.0 Ranger and we have nothing on the 4x4 side. The indicator lights on the dash do not light when the ignition is turned on, I have checked all fuses and relays but still nothing. I even replaced the trans case motor before I realized the lights werent coming on. I have pulled the switch out and checked there NOTHING. I have checked all plugs on the computer. I am at a dead end and dont know what else to do. Asfar as I know the truck has never been off road it has 77,000 miles on it as is as clean as new on the bottom side. Other than this it is perfect.

 

You might want to take it to a shop if you have exhausted your efforts.

 

4x4 computer is shot happens all the time on 01 to 03 models get ya a new computer and you will have 4x4 again

 

Thanks I am going to check the computer next if it is not that I am gonna go nuts.

 

My light on my old F-150 never used to come on in 4hi. Light was shot. 4x4 worked fine though. I'm assuming that you are positive your 4x4 doesn't work.

 

computer for the 4x4 is behind the pass side kick panel its a little black box that says 4x4 cm its got to plugs in it

 

going to get checked in 2 days
