OK first and for most i owe this thread 100% to Justin (toreador4x4). basically i was *****ing about my shifter sloop. when it is in gear you can shake it side to side about 1-2". Justin said well your shifter ball nylon bushings are probably blown out..

well being i have never replaced this. I got the repair kit they have for the R1. went over to his house today and popped the cover off the shifter arm and what do we find NOTHING haha.. the nylon bushing were GONE... well in under 30 min start to finish the trans shifts like new again, no sloop at all! best $30 i ever spent..

here is the kit for references

so the moral of the story is if the shifter is moving more then like 1/4" side to side.. dude get the kit....

hmmm, damn I always thought that it just was suppose to have that much slop in it. I'm going to end up doing that. OR put it off until it gets rather bad and get a hurst. We'll see.

thats right i was the one who also talked him into the Hurst shifter....he wasn't going to get it because of the price, but with me paying 1/2 for the Hurst, he got the Hurst real quick.......so if you know what a Hurst cost you know what i paid for the Level II shifter

it still feels fine, i didn't notice anything wrong with it when i had my trans out to replace the clutch.
i think it has more to do with time.
