5r44e only sometimes goes into overdrive

I got a 2003 ford ranger 3.0 2wd witch I believe has the 5r44e transmission I recently been having a problem where it only goes into overdrive sometimes where most of the time it won’t go in at all and sometimes it I press the overdrive button to turn it off then back in it will go it for a few seconds then back out and I’ve replaced the tps sensor and the tail shaft output speed sensor and hasn’t made a driffrence and I’m stuck and don’t know what to look for

Mileage on vehicle, or trans, if replaced?
Level and condition of fluid?

Where is my output speed sensor

I have a 2002 ford ranger 3.0 2wd l,it has a fake transfer case on it when i start driving my truck wont go over 3000 rpms and wont shift out of 2nd gear and my speedometer dont work. I am getting the code p0720 and p0722 which is the output speed sensor but I cant find the sensor on my transmission or transfer case. I can find the vent tube but no plug or sensor in the area. I am also getting 2 wheel speed sensor codes for both front wheels could the wheel sensors cause the p0720 code and all of my rpm and shifting problems?

Your OSS is on the drivers side of the transmission tail housing
