1992 ford ranger here, has park and a bunch of neutrals it seems. Linkage is intact and engaging and I pulled tranny cooler line off and had no fluid pumping at idle. Fluid looks good on dip stick no burnt smell or anything any help is greatly appreciated thanks!

 

1992 Ranger will have the A4LD automatic

Do you have a floor shifter or column shifter?

You will need to get under driver side and watch the shift arm movement on the transmission as some one in the cab moves the shifter, could be a split cable or ??
