96 Ranger 4.0 4R55E

I rebuilt this a year ago, (Memorial day weekend). Originally it had OD issues, found the OD piston destroyed and when I got inside the OD drum was heat damaged and egg shaped. There was nothing left of the OD band, the metal was worn to about .015. Replaced both pistons, the clutches all around, replaced the OD steels and OD drum, replaced the TC. Been working fine until about a month ago. My son drives it, said he was just driving around town and it would come out of gear, the engine reved up. He let it down and it came back in. I pulled the pan last week and found insulation on several of the solenoid wires was gone inside the plastic track. Wires were shorted together. Bought a new harness and installed it. Initially it seemed OK, drove it around but then it did the same thing, like it came out of gear. Decided to pull the VB in case the gasket blew. When I tried to drive it up on ramps it didn't have enough power to climb them. Tried forcing in 1st and still wouldn't go. VB is out now, I don't see any place where the gasket is blown. I am wondering if the pump and or the TC could cause this behavior? New gaskets for VB will be here tomorrow, if that doesn't fix I suppose it will come back out Saturday.

No-one replied to this and I've already solved it. Apparently the solenoids shorting must have caused strange pressures and blew out the VB gaskets. New gasket set and it works like a champ.
