98 question

Okey the guy workin on my truck is now telling me that I have the only odd ball year of ranger. He is saying that my d35 is a weird one. He said there "might" be a lockright and no aussi. He is also saying that 98 was the only "weird year" arnt 98 - present all pretty much the same?
Also i have a 28 spline rear and aparently arb discontinued that model. Is detriot my only option?
thanx guys

The Dana 35 in 98+ rangers are all the same. Here is the Aussie locker that you will need. I know Lockright makes one but I can't think of the part number right now.
