ABS Tone Ring Question

I have a 93 4x4 ranger that needs a carrier in the rear diferential. Can I use one from a Fox body mustang and will the abs ring fit or are the carriers different. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

If you only need a carrier and can transplant the ring gear you should be good to go.

8.8 to 8.8 and 7.5 to 7.5

They aren't interchangable so make sure you get the same one. You might have either but the Fox body would have an 8.8.

Sorry, should have mentioned the 4.0 engine. I surely have a 8.8 but I'm not sure if the carrier is machined to accept the ring or if the ring was designed to fit the carrier. Thanks for the replies,
