ATLAS transfer cases are a hell of a-lot better than doubled up transfer cases
the ATLAS is a completly manufactured transfer case
moulded from the dana 300 transfer case,, with various mounting angles
it can be ordered either passenger or driver side output shafts
also with solid rod or cable operated shifter rails
Atlas 2 Speed Transfer Case (4.3:1 Low Range) | Engine & Transmission Conversion Adapters - Advance Adapters

The atlas is also a gear driven case unlike the chain style of the 1354.
I have chosen the np205 to go in after the v8 swap. It will require some modding to the trans, vss, and the floor, and I hope it fits between the the frame rails.

yes it is gear driven
it also depends what transmission you are going to use
that 205 will be a major drag on any small block transmission
you are going to have to fabricate 1 hell of a robust transfer case crossmember

The 205 is one heavy sob. Mine does have a frame mount with it. I divorced off a 78 f250 with a 400m/c6. So it will need to consideration once its under my truck.
Although this will not happen soon. v8 swap first than the SAS and tcase upgrade. My d44/60 needs rebuilds and brake work. Before I can even think about fab work.

I think they are around 3000 from what I remember. I only know one guy that runs one on a RBV and that is a wheeling guide at BVORR that runs it in his explorer. I think it bolts right up from what I remember
NOT! lol!
Maybe next year that will be my big upgrade. Atlas or Stak. The research begins....
same here. but my dilemma is that if i get an atlas now....and do my v8 swap later, im stuck to certain tcases....if i do it later, then the skys the limit...
