Best shifter option

Hey guys: Have a 2011 sport with 70,000 K. Interested in changing the manual shifter to a Hurst. Not sure which way to go. The Hurst Core or the Hurst Billet.. The truck shifts really nice now and don't want to mess anything up. Any ideas which to buy ? Thanks for the help !!!!

Not sure what you would be gaining with a Hurst shift arm, out side of the look, which can be enough

You are not changing the actual shift throw so no faster shifting advantage like on the older manuals with a 3rd party shifter

You have an M5R1 manual transmission, aka, M5OD-R1

What is the difference between the "Core" and the "Billet" ?

I used the Hurst Shift Assembly on my '03 and it made a Hugh difference, shifts felt solid, no slop.

So the main thing is buying the complete assemble as both of the choices are but the difference between them isn't clear to me.

Definitely, I would do the Hurst Swap, worth it, but which one will depend on what their manufactured use is !

RonD,
I found the shifter to be solid, faster not, but they feel solid and slide in place. Just feels like Ford should have had !

RonD:: Thanks for your reply. Love the look of a chrome Hurst for sure. Heard some of the bad points with the stops coming loose and the rattles. Some shift arms being to short. I added the cup holders attached to the 60-40 seats too.
Don't want the arm to hit it. The Hurst Core has no stops to set.. I'm very un-clear which one is better with less troubles. Also some leak fluid !
