Blown Tranny?

So, I went wheelin' today, and all was well. About an hour after that though, as I'm sitting in traffic, my truck starts to idle very rough. Turns out, when I accelerate, my tranny slips in to neutral after second gear. I can accelerate normally in first and second, but I have no gears after that.
And Ideas as to what might be wrong? How can I fix it?

Of course. First things first. haha. It works fine in first and second. Goes through those no problem. But as soon as it shifts out of second, its like the truck is in neutral

Okay, just making sure. Do you have a flashing O/D light?

Well next time it starts flashing write down the sequence that it is flashing. It will flash a code. For example if it flashes 8 times then there is a pause then it flashes 3 times, then the code is 83.

Nope. It goes 1st 2nd then nothing. I'm not paying 1500 bucks. I'll buy a used one for 500 and put that in if its cheaper than getting in fixed.

Ahh shoot. haha.
I'm usually pretty good at physics, but the assignment is online and its just incredibly hard to understand

I think I'm gonna quit. I've 60 out of 100 points on it, and all my other grades are good in that class. Calculus here I come

It may not be clutches. It could be a bad solenoid in the valvebody or something along those lines.

Because I'm a teenager? I'm supposed to be reckless and wheel whatever I have, right?

I'm taking it in this weekend I think. 1200 for a full rebuild, which I hopefully won't have to get done...

Still yet to take it in...
We're getting all the money just so we'll be prepared for the worst...
And if it only costs a couple hundred bucks... Guess who'd getting a new intake :)
